What the return policy covers

Target returns are free. Most new, unopened items can be returned within 90 days. Circle cardholders get an extra 30 days, for a total of 120 days.

Target-owned brand items, including All in Motion, A New Day, up&up, and Room Essentials, can be returned within 1 year with a receipt. Most registry items can also be returned within 1 year of the event date.

Returns can be processed in-store, by mail, or through Drive Up using the Target app. Some large or heavy items, such as furniture and electronics, qualify for return pickup.

Refunds:

• In most cases, your refund goes back to the original form of payment

• If multiple forms of payment were used, your refund goes back to each payment method used

• If you return in-store without a receipt or return barcode, you will receive a merchandise return card instead
